SCOPEOFWORKFOR STRUCTURAL REHABILITATION AND FABRICATION WORKS ON MILL B TRASH SCREEN, CV7 HEAD CHUTE, AND MILL SPOUT STRUCTURE.

1. INTRODUCTION

This Scope of Work defines the requirements for the rehabilitation of the Trash Screen, CV07 Head Chute, Mill Spout Structure and the fabrication of Mill B trash screen and CV07 Chute at Prestea Sankofa Gold Limited. The works shall be executed in strict accordance with the attached Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and shall conform to international engineering standards, ensuring structural integrity, durability, and compliance with safety requirements.

The Contractor is responsible for conducting all site measurements and preparing fabrication/erection drawings for written approval by PSGL prior to fabrication and installation.

2. SCOPE OF WORK

The rehabilitation works shall include, but not be limited to, the following activities:

2.1 Site Preparation and Access

  • Conduct a detailed site assessment and verify all dimensions prior to fabrication.
    • Provide scaffolding, hoisting, and access arrangements in accordance with safety standards.

2.2 Dismantling and Replacement

  • Controlled removal of deteriorated structural elements of the Trash Screen, CV07 Head Chute, and Mill Spout Structures.
    • Provide temporary supports and bracing during dismantling and replacement to ensure stability of adjacent structures.
    • Prepare existing foundations and interfaces for installation of new members.

2.3 Fabrication Drawings and Steel Works

  • Prepare and submit fabrication and erection drawings, based on site measurements, for written approval by PSGL prior to cutting or welding.
    • Supply, fabricate, and install all materials as specified in the attached BoQ.
    • Execute all fabrication and installation works in line with approved drawings and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).

2.4 Welding and Fabrication

  • Carry out cutting, edge preparation, alignment, welding, and grinding.
    • Ensure welding consumables are suitable for the specified materials and comply with AWS/ASME standards.

2.5 Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

  • Perform Visual Testing (VT), Dye Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) on welds and connections.
    • Submit full QA/QC reports for Client approval.

2.6 Surface Preparation and Painting

  • Blast-clean steel surfaces to ISO 8501-1 SA 2.5.
    • Apply an approved protective coating system.
    • Provide manufacturer data sheets (MDS) and coating inspection records.

2.7 Labor, Logistics, and Safety

  • Provide skilled and unskilled manpower as per BoQ.
    • Comply with PSGL’s HSE requirements, including PPE, signage, firefighting equipment,

and first aid.

  • Ensure transportation, accommodation, and feeding of personnel throughout the contract.

2.8 Erection Methodology and Commissioning

  • Submit a detailed erection methodology and lifting plan for written approval by PSGL prior to execution.
    • Conduct joint inspection with PSGL representatives upon completion.
    • Submit all as-built drawings, test reports, and certification documents.

3. STANDARDS AND COMPLIANCE

All works shall be executed in conformity with the latest editions of the following standards (or approved equivalents):

  • AWS D1.1 / ASME Section IX – Welding procedure and welder qualifications
  • ASME Section V – Non-Destructive Testing requirements
  • ISO 8501-1 – Surface preparation (SA 2.5)
  • API 650 – Reference guide for welded steel structures

4. DELIVERABLES

At completion, the Contractor shall provide:

  • Fabrication and erection drawings (based on site measurements) approved in writing by PSGL
  • Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), PQRs, and welder qualification records
  • NDT reports
  • Material certificates and traceability documentation
  • Coating data sheets and inspection reports
  • Final as-built drawings and completion dossier

5. PROJECT DURATION

The rehabilitation works shall be completed within two (2) weeks from the date of site handover and mobilization, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6. EXCLUSIONS

The following are excluded from this scope unless expressly stated in the contract:

  • Major civil works beyond minor foundation repairs
  • Electrical and instrumentation works
  • Supply of permanent lifting equipment or facilities
